Zusammenfassung
Shiratori Ryuji möchte Bilderbuchautor werden und zieht in eine Wohnung, Narutaki-So, um eine Kunstschule in Tokio zu besuchen. Narutaki-so ist ein einstöckiges Haus im alten japanischen Stil, das nicht in die Stadtlandschaft passt. Es gehört dem Cousin seiner Mutter und die Verwalterin der Wohnung ist Aoba Kozue. Sie ist seine Cousine zweiten Grades und sie lernten sich kennen, als sie noch Kinder waren, obwohl er sich kaum an sie erinnert. Sie geht in die zweite Klasse einer weiterführenden Schule, die dem Aoba Junior College angegliedert ist.
In Narutaki-So leben fünf Menschen. Erstens wohnt Chanohata Kotomi im Zimmer Nr. 1. Sie ist eine beste Freundin von Kozue. Dann ist der Bewohner von Raum Nr. 3 Momono Megumi.
